SELLING STOLEN GOODS

SELLING STOLEN GOODS
(24/05/2013)

1 - Definition
Here, you can understand a simple way, selling stolen goods means someone sell the goods which were stolen. This means that sellers can sell the stolen goods but they don’t know they are stolen goods.
For example, I stolen your motorbike and bring it to market to sell. Or you stolen someone’s motorbike, after that, I will buy this motorbike and bring it to market to sell.
2 – Status
Today, the status of selling stolen goods is more and more increased. They sell very many goods but they don’t know they are stolen goods.
According to the statics from many countries, the status of selling stolen goods is more and more increased, it include both the amount and quality.
For example, I am a business and I sell motorbike but I don’t know they are stolen goods. When I am arrested by the police, I am still very innocent and surprise about it.
For example, Brazil is one of the most countries that have many robbers, according to statistics of Brazil, every months, the police arrest hundreds of selling stolen goods without the paper. They said that there are very many similar cases.
In Vietnam, every months, the police arrest hundreds of selling stolen goods. It concludes some stolen goods in Vietnam and some stolen goods from another country such as China, Cambodia, Thailand… All of them have no licences.
3 – Punishment
First, we punish them by money and collect the stolen goods. It means when they sell stolen goods they must be punished by money. It belongs to the value of the stolen good. We can punish 50% the value of the stolen good.
For example, if you stolen a motorbike that the value is 2000 USD. You will be punished 1000 USD and collect this motorbike.
Second, we will put them to the prison if they violate more than 5 times or they sell a stolen good too important. The stolen goods too important mean they are very valuable, it can be more than 3 millions of USD or it have no valuable such as red book, identification, bank card, …
Third, we teach the buyer about what they buy. It means that when you buy something you need know some information such as orgin, manufacturers, licences,…
And when you see a good that have no these informations, you should not buy and call for the police.
For example, when you want to buy a laptop. You should check about orgin, manufacturers, licences,…
Four, I think this way is also very important. It is a important factor to decide the appearance of the stolen goods. It is that you should save your property carefully. If you don’t lose your property , it will have no selling stolen goods. Good luck!!
